This shade grown, natural-processed Arabica bean is sourced from the highlands of the Gera Estate at an altitude of 1900-2200m.  The optimal soil, natural fertilizers and conscientious cultivation results in a medium-bodied coffee with big notes of blueberry, molasses and mild citrus.

Dry-processed coffees, also known as “natural-processed,” are coffees dried with the fruit left on the bean. As the coffee cherries fruits dry and break down, they impart a bit of their flavor into the seed. This causes a fruit forward flavor, that make natural-processed (or dry processed) coffees so special. These Gera coffees are known for their fruit forward flavors (often blueberry but occasionally harvests are more peach and nectarine).  This year's harvest is a big blueberry coffee truffle for sure that if you haven't tried will have you questioning how coffee can taste like this naturally. Just opening the bag for a smell brings forward memories of homemade blueberry pie or compote.
